Listers

The Board of Listers is a three-member elected board, charged with the responsibility of determining the fair-market-value of real property.

The property values serve as the base upon which the Selectboard sets property tax rates.

Members are elected for staggered three-year terms and they work with the Town Assessor, who provides professional assistance.

If necessary, the Listers preside at scheduled Grievance Hearings each June to hear appeals from property owners regarding the assessed value of their properties.
